Dentures are removable restorations that cover a complete arch where there are no teeth present.  Dentures can be made for the upper or lower arch. Keep in mind that the bone on the lower arch resorbs at a much faster rate than the bone on the upper arch thus making a stable fitting lower denture a bit of a challenge. Partial dentures replace missing teeth with the use of a removable plate which is supported by remaining teeth. Both full dentures and partial dentures need to removed nightly.
